What a way to spend WA Day, strolling through Balingup’s Golden Valley Tree Park. It was the first day of winter over here, the perfect time to come to this park I believe. Hours were spent taking in the views and appreciating the silence of the landscape. Every now and then a breeze would tickle the trees and the golden leaves would rain down – bliss!
The tree park is is the largest arboretum in Western Australia and displays a beautiful range of Australian native trees. The trails around the park are quite easy, so great for kids as well. Each tree in the collection is labelled with the species name. Golden Valley Tree Park in Balingup is only 2.5 hours from Perth, so next time you’re in town do check it out!
