Just like making peanut butter only with cooler nuts! I used a mix of almonds, hazelnuts and brazil nuts – but you can apply this method to any combo you like! Nut butter is fantastic on warm toast (luckily I had a fresh loaf of paleo bread just out of the oven!), in smoothies or with fruit.
- 1/2 cup of brazil nuts
- 1/2 cup of hazelnuts
- 1 cup of almonds
- 2 tbs coconut oil
- 2 tbs organic maple syrup
- 1 tsp salt
Add all ingredients to your food processor and pulse on the highest speed until smooth. Keep checking in between pulses as you may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add more oil or maple syrup if you would like it smoother.
And here it is for afternoon tea on top of some fresh paleo toast and topped with sliced bananas – so yum!!
